Are country roads your place? Put some John Denver on the record player and consider applying for a job as a truck driver in West Lincoln.
The township currently has a number of job vacancies open, including one in the public works department for a truck driver who will assist with material transport, road maintenance and construction projects.
Here are three things you need to know.
WHAT JOBS ARE AVAILABLE?
In addition to the Truck Driver position, West Lincoln is also looking for a Recreation Services Coordinator, Recreation and Wellness Programmer, Facilities Operator, Administrative Assistant and alternate brigadiers.
WHAT ARE THE JOBS CONSIST OF AND WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DO I NEED?
Qualifications vary depending on the position candidates are seeking to fill.
To drive a truck, the candidate must have a valid DZ license, a high school diploma and have taken Ontario courses in snowplows, traffic control and good roads. The full-time union position is for a 40 hour work week with occasional overtime and shift work.
The Administrative Assistant is a contract position that will provide confidential clerical and administrative support to the Clerk’s Services Department, assisting the Clerk and Deputy Clerk. Applicants should have post-secondary education in office administration and two to three years of experience in an office environment.
