Centraide’s annual fundraising campaign, which supports 19 local health and social services programs, officially begins this month.

As we start to see the light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to COVID-19, the effects are still very much present.

Local organizations and families continue to face struggles directly related to the heat of the pandemic and this fundraising effort allows Centraide to continue to step in and fill the void when called upon.

Bradley Bielski has been selected to chair the 2021 Campaign for the United Way of Tuscarawas County.

Bielski is in his 18th year of higher education administration, and is currently in his ninth year as Dean and Executive Director of Kent State University on the Tuscarawas campus. He is on the administrative staff of the Tuscarawas County University Branch Board of Trustees and the Tuscarawas County University Foundation Board of Trustees.

Bielski is also Vice President of United Way of Tuscarawas County and is a member of the Board of Directors of Tuscarawas County Development Corporation, Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital, Community Improvement Corporation -Tuscarawas County, Tuscarawas Chamber of Commerce, Workforce Investment Board of Stark and Tuscarawas Tuscarawas Counties and Leadership.

“It’s a pleasure that Dr. Bielski leads the Tuscarawas County United Way’s annual campaign,” said Robin Waltz, United Way President. “Brad has been a huge supporter of the United Way as a board member and as a volunteer. His passion for making Tuscarawas County a better place to live and raise a family, and for the United Way’s mission, makes him the perfect fit for the role of campaign leader.

This year, Bielski will work alongside Deputy Campaign Chair Bruce James, CEO of Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital. Bruce is also the Health Care Division Manager for the United Way.

UWTC seeks continued support from the community by investing in the organization’s mission to continue to support health and social service programs in Tuscarawas County in addition to various special grants.

Each investment helps the organization continue to build a sustainable community for all.
