The route des Têtes des Vallées reopened after being closed this afternoon following a “serious” accident.
Police were alerted to the incident at 12:10 a.m. on Monday, November 22, involving a collision between a car and a road worker.
Traffic was halted in both directions to allow Wales Air Ambulance access to the scene, and the truck worker was airlifted to hospital after sustaining “serious injuries”.

The incident occurred on the eastbound carriageway of the A465, between the Tredegar roundabout and the Rassau industrial area, but the roads have since reopened.
Gwent Police said officers were on hot pursuit before the collision and the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IPOC) has been contacted.
The westbound carriageway reopened around 2 p.m., while the eastbound carriageway opened just before 6:00 p.m.
A spokesperson for Gwent Police said: âWe received a report of a traffic accident on the A465, Heads of the Valleys road, near Tredegar, at around 12:10 pm on Monday 22 November.
âThe collision involved a car and a truck worker, who were taken to hospital via Wales Air Ambulance after being seriously injured in the collision.
âThe eastbound carriageway is currently closed and the incident continues.
âWe contacted the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) in accordance with standard procedure as officers were involved in a pre-collision pursuit.â
