If this sounds like you, you could be our next head of corporate governance, helping Ryedale District Council run its meetings, administrative systems and electoral work like clockwork.
This position would be suitable for someone with some previous administration experience looking for a new challenge, or a recent graduate who can demonstrate organizational and teamwork skills.
Our corporate governance team is the engine room of the Board. Within the team, you will work on a wide range of administrative activities:
You will manage the organization of democratic meetings, including setting up, providing agendas and documents, attending the meeting and taking accurate minutes.
You will work on voter registration, elections and referendums, sorting places, making arrangements, managing papers and liaising with a wide range of stakeholders.
You will also help ensure that governance systems operate effectively and efficiently by sharing your expertise with your colleagues on governance issues, collecting information for reporting and participating in projects to ensure the continued development of the service. .
A confident communicator, you will bring strong organizational skills to this role, along with a positive and dynamic attitude, great attention to detail and enthusiasm for local government and support for a decision-making process that affects the lives of thousands of people. .
