Columbus City Administrator tenders resignation | KSNF/KODE

COLUMBUS, Kans. — A trustee from Southeast Kansas City has tendered her resignation.

The City of Columbus said in a statement Friday that City Administrator Daniela Rivas has tendered her resignation effective March 11, 2022. Rivas is the city’s administrative director, budget manager and day-to-day operations manager. .

Rivas has worked as a city administrator for the past three years and will move to the Wichita area to be closer to his family.

“While there is no right time to leave an organization you respect and admire, there is a right time and that time, I believe, is now.” said Madame Rivas.

“It has been a personal and professional pleasure to have been a municipal administrator for the past few years. I am grateful for the opportunity and trust given to me to serve the City of Columbus and for the dedicated employees who are passionate about public service, our Mayor and Council who continue to work to move this community forward. in a positive direction, and the collaborative atmosphere that exists among the various organizations in Cherokee County. I have no doubt that Columbus will continue to accomplish great things.
