City of Kenora Announces New Chief Financial Officer

The City of Kenora has announced that it has hired a new Chief Financial Officer and City Treasurer.

The City of Kenora worked with an independent recruitment firm to find a new Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, as a result the City selected Ryan Marsh, Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) to fill the position.

Marsh comes from the City of Winnipeg and has over twenty years of experience in public administration as well as fifteen years of financial leadership in a municipal setting.

As Chief Financial Officer, Marsh will be responsible for the financial well-being of the City of Kenora through effective planning, administration, systems management, investments and reporting, as well as the performance of statutory functions. of the municipal treasurer in accordance with the municipal by-law. Law.

Marsh may be from Winnipeg, but his family has deep roots in Kenora, which he considers a year-round home away from home for many years.

Current Chief Financial Officer Charlotte Edie is due to retire in early 2023 after more than twenty years with the City. Marsh will start with the City on August 8, to allow for a transition period.
