MOUNT HOLLY – Burlington County Clerk Joanne Schwartz and Burlington County Commissioners are pleased to announce the launch of a new online service to alert residents to identity theft or potential fraud.

The new Real Estate Fraud Alert System allows residents of the 40 Burlington County municipalities to register to have their name or business monitored for transactions and registration activities within the County Clerk’s Office. Burlington and receive real-time activity alerts.

The subscription service is free and is intended to serve as an early warning system for potential fraud. Residents who register will be notified by email or phone whenever a document, such as a deed, lien or mortgage, is registered in the clerk’s office with their name.
